Le Petit Musée de Guignol

Lyon · Rhône · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Little Fantastic Museum of Guignol, located in the heart of Old Lyon, is dedicated to the history and traditions of the Lyonnese puppet. Organized over two floors and offering an audio-guided tour in six languages, the museum presents collections of puppets from around the world as well as the historical evolution of Guignol through animated scenes and automata. The visit, lasting approximately thirty minutes, alternates between puppet exhibitions, multimedia content and interactive activities, including the possibility of manipulating puppets or having your photograph taken in a puppet theater set. The museum benefits from a partnership with the Theater La Maison de Guignol, a historic establishment offering family shows and performances for adults, and has been operating for more than twenty years.
